

Strong winds continue across the province
There is a chance of flurries or rain showers across the west coast of the Island. It will be fair for other locales. The wind will continue to be an issue with gusts to 80 km/h expected. In Labrador, some snow is expected for central areas, rain and snow for the coast, and sun and cloud for western areas. Winds will also be of concern in most areas.

All fuel prices increase
The cost of all fuels are up today. Gas went up 2.8 cents per litre. On the Island, Diesel increased 0.8 cents and in western Labrador, diesel increased 0.3 cents. Furnace oil heating fuel on the Island increased by 0.70 cents per litre. In western Labrador, stove oil heating fuel went up by 0.28 cents. Propane heating fuel increased by 1.5 cents.

Increased police presence in Kilbride
The Royal Newfoundland Constabulary is warning of an inc reased police presence in the area of Cape Pine Street in Kilbride. This is due to an ongoing investigation. Follow the direction of officers on scene. There is no risk to public safety.

Man arrested and charged related to multiple break, enter and thefts in the Bay Roberts area
The RCMP in Bay Roberts has arrested a man in relation to multiple occurrences of break, enter and theft in the area since July 2025. On October 30, police executed a search warrant at a residence in Bay Roberts connected to two incidents of break, enter and thefts at a cabin in Ocean Pond and an RV Park in Makinsons in July 2025, and a third at a local medical clinic in August 2025. Vehicle overturns in St. John’s on Wednesday night
Emergency personnel responded to a portion on Pearltown Road between the Pitts Memorial overpass and Doyles Lane just before 10:00 p.m. on Wednesday night for reports of a single-vehicle crash. When firefighters with the St. John’s Regional Fire Department arrived on the scene the single vehicle had left the roadway travelling up a small embankment and landing on its side stopping feet away from a utility pole.
