Killick Coast Games bring youth together across region

Youth from communities across the Killick Coast region took part in five days of sports, recreation and community activities during the 2026 Killick Coast Games.

The annual event ran Aug. 16 to 20 in Bauline, Flatrock and Pouch Cove, bringing together young athletes, coaches, volunteers and supporters from throughout the region.

The provincial government provided $10,000 in funding to support this year's games.

Throughout the five-day event, participants competed in a variety of sporting and recreational activities while demonstrating sportsmanship and dedication.

The games also provided an opportunity for young people from neighbouring communities to build friendships and strengthen connections across the Killick Coast.

The Killick Coast Games have become a summer tradition for families and communities in the region, celebrating sport, healthy living and community involvement.
