The Newfoundland Regiment wins its second straight overtime game against the Rouyn-Noranda Huskies, taking a 3-2 decision Sunday afternoon at Mary Brown’s Centre.

Charles Laforest opens the scoring for Rouyn-Noranda 11:07 into the first period.

The Regiment responds seven minutes later when Maddex Marmulak ties the game, but Jayden Pominville restores the Huskies' lead on the following shift to make it 2-1 after 20 minutes.

Matthew Frost ties the game for Newfoundland nine minutes into the second period.

Neither team finds the back of the net for the remainder of regulation, sending the game to overtime for the second consecutive day.

Marmulak then ends it just 26 seconds into the 3-on-3 overtime period, scoring his second of the game to give the Regiment the 3-2 victory.

Antoine Proulx makes 29 saves to remain unbeaten to start the season.

The Regiment now begins its first road trip of the season, with seven consecutive games away from home. The trip starts Wednesday night against the Blainville-Boisbriand Armada.
