

Impaired driver crashes vehicle on the Outer Ring Road
Just after 1:00 a.m. on Friday, the RNC and St. John's Regional Fire Department responded to an accident on the Outer Ring Road in St John’s. The single vehicle crash resulted in no injuries to the single occupant. Police determined that the 21-year-old driver was under the influence of alcohol, and he was arrested for impaired driving. After further investigation, he was charged with impaired driving and operating over .80 mg/ml. He was released for a future court date.

Police say that 49-year-old Denise Taylor of Mount Pearl was last seen in the area of Blackmarsh Road in Mount Pearl on May 14. She was last seen wearing a purple sweater, a blue puffy vest, black leggings, and black sneakers. Taylor is described as 5 feet 3 inches tall, 135 lbs, with long brown hair and brown eyes. Fuel prices dropped across Newfoundland and Labrador overnight following latest adjustment
The Board said all types of gasoline motor fuel decreased by up to 4.7 cents per litre. Diesel motor fuel prices on the Island fell by 8.3 cents per litre, while diesel prices in western Labrador decreased by 9.0 cents per litre.
