Fuel prices see big drop across Newfoundland and Labrador
All types of gasoline motor fuel decreased by up to 10.6 cents per litre. Diesel motor fuel prices on the Island decreased by up to 7.3 cents per litre, while diesel prices in western Labrador decreased by 7.6 cents per litre. Furnace oil heating fuel prices on the Island dropped by 6.33 cents per litre, while stove oil heating fuel prices in western Labrador decreased by 6.71 cents per litre. Missing man from Ontario located deceased
The Royal Newfoundland Constabulary has stated that the 35-year-old Ontario man reported missing from Corner Brook has been located deceased. No foul play is suspected. The Deer Lake Search and Rescue, the RCMP, Canadian Helicopters, and the Joint Rescue Coordination Centre assisted with the search.

Big Game Licence Draw Results Released
Results of the 2026-27 big game licence draw are now available through the Wildlife Information Management System website. Applicants are being notified by email and are encouraged to log into their accounts to view the results of the draw.
