Marine Atlantic’s Île Rouge Arrives in North Sydney Ahead of Fall Service

Marine Atlantic says the Île Rouge has arrived in North Sydney as preparations continue to bring the vessel into service later this fall.

Over the coming weeks, teams across the organization will carry out familiarization and training activities, along with the process of reflagging the vessel, Marine Atlantic said.

The ferry has a passenger capacity of 821 and includes 146 cabins. Of those, 48 are designated for passengers travelling with pets.

The vessel also features 82 reclining seats and panoramic views.

Marine Atlantic says the work underway is intended to ensure the Île Rouge is ready to enter service later this fall.
