St. John’s Resident Satisfaction Survey Begins This Week

Residents of St. John’s may be contacted by telephone over the next few weeks to participate in the City’s 2026 Resident Satisfaction Survey.

The survey, conducted by MQO Research, was first launched in 2018 and is repeated every two years.

Residents are selected through a random process designed to reflect the City’s Census data and provide a representative picture of opinions about St. John’s, municipal services and emerging priorities.

The survey results are statistically representative of St. John’s residents, with a margin of error of plus or minus four per cent at a 95 per cent confidence level.

Participation is voluntary, although the City is encouraging residents who are contacted to take part. The survey takes approximately 20 to 25 minutes to complete, and individual responses will remain confidential.

Questions cover a range of topics, including City services, quality of life, value for taxes, and priorities for capital and operational spending.

The City said the survey provides Council and staff with information to help inform budget and strategic planning, as well as efforts to improve municipal services.

The results will be released publicly later this year.
