Warm Thursday Ahead for Much of Newfoundland, Cooler with Showers in Labrador

Much of Newfoundland is set to enjoy a warm summer day today, while Labrador remains noticeably cooler with scattered showers.
The warmest temperatures are expected across central and eastern Newfoundland, where highs will climb into the low to mid-20s. St. John's is forecast to reach 24°C, with a mix of sun and cloud. Gander and Grand Falls-Windsor are both expected to top out around 23°C, while Marystown reaches 21°C under mostly sunny skies.
Across western Newfoundland, temperatures will be a little cooler but still pleasant. Corner Brook is forecast to hit 18°C with a mix of sun and cloud, while Port aux Basques reaches 15°C. Port Saunders and St. Anthony on the Great Northern Peninsula are also expected to see highs of 15°C, with a mix of sunshine and a few passing showers.
Labrador will remain mild, with Mary's Harbour reaching 16°C, and Happy Valley-Goose Bay expected to be one of the warmer spots in Labrador at 19°C, despite the chance of scattered showers.
Elsewhere across Labrador, cooler air holds on. Nain is forecast to reach just 11°C with periods of rain, while Hopedale tops out near 9°C. Labrador City and Churchill Falls are both expected to see highs around 11°C, with cloudy skies and scattered showers.
