Rain expected across most of Newfoundland today

Sun and clouds are expected today on the Avalon Peninsula; rain is expected elsewhere. On the Great Northern Peninsula, rainfall amounts of 5 mm are expected. The Corner Brook and Gros Morne area will receive 25 to 35 mm. On the southwest coast, 5 mm is expected. Central Newfoundland will see 2 to 4 mm. Highs will range from 17 to 22.

Across western Labrador, Labrador City will see 10 to 20 mm of rain with the risk of thunderstorms. Churchill Falls will receive 5 mm of rain. Some drizzle is expected on the north coast and sunny breaks are expected in Happy Valley-Goose Bay. Highs will range from 10 to 23.
