Another significant storm to hit the Avalon Peninsula
An area of low pressure will deliver another blast of winter to St. John's and the Avalon Peninsula Southeast. Snow will start this evening and continue until Sunday afternoon. Snowfall amounts of 20 to 30 cm are possible, combined with winds gusting to 100 km/h. This comes on the heels of a powerful storm on Wednesday that shut the region down for two days. Over the southeastern Avalon, snow will mix with, or transition to, rain along parts of the coast on Sunday afternoon.
