Stormy conditions to persist tonight

Snow and strong winds are expected across most of the Island tonight.

About 5 cm of snow is expected on the Avalon Peninsula and along the south coast. A rain/snow mix is expected in the Calrenville and Marystown area. Gander and Grand Falls-Windsor will see 10 to 15 cm. The Corner Brook area will see 10 cm, and about 10 cm is expected on the Great Northern Peninsula.

Winds will also be strong with gusts between 80 and 130 km/h.

Across Labrador, it will be much nicer with lows from minus 13 to minus 23.
