The annual St. John’s Pride Parade will take place today, with participants and spectators expected to gather in downtown St. John’s for the province’s largest Pride celebrations.

The parade is scheduled to begin at noon and will start from St. John’s City Hall at 10 New Gower Street.

Participants will travel along Duckworth Street before turning onto Ordnance Street and continuing onto Military Road. The parade will conclude at Bannerman Park, where festivities are expected to continue following the march.

The Pride Parade is one of the signature events of the annual Pride Festival and celebrates the province’s 2SLGBTQIA+ community while promoting inclusion, visibility and support across Newfoundland and Labrador.

Motorists travelling through the downtown area on Sunday should expect temporary road closures and traffic delays along the parade route. Spectators are encouraged to arrive early to secure viewing locations.
