Churchill Falls Resolution passes in House of Assembly

The House of Assembly passed the Churchill Falls Resolution. The motion passed by a vote of 21 to 18.

There were four days of debate and questions from experts.

The provincial government is touting the agreement as historic.

The Liberal Party voted no on the resolution, citing no market-based pricing, decreasing prices over time, no off-ramps, lack of independent oversight and independent review, and an unfair share of federal funding.
