The RNC are urging the public to drive safely this long weekend.
Drivers are reminded to reduce speeds, drive according to the road conditions, and leave a safe distance between vehicles. For those using off-road vehicles, riders are encouraged to enjoy doing so responsibly by wearing helmets, avoiding unfamiliar terrain, and checking road conditions in advance. Remember, riders under 16 years of age must be supervised.
The RNC have been conducting traffic checkpoints throughout the week for Canada Road Safety Week.
Earlier this week, police stopped a driver travelling 81 km/h in a school zone. The driver had their license suspended, and the vehicle was impounded.
