The RNC held a traffic checkpoint for Canada Road Safety Week this afternoon.

During the checkpoint, several vehicles were stopped for driving infractions.

Canada Road Safety Week is designed to increase compliance with safe driving measures in order to save lives and reduce injuries on Canadian roads.

The campaign is focused on behaviours that put drivers, passengers, pedestrians and other vulnerable road users most at risk, such as drug-impaired driving, alcohol-impaired driving, fatigue-impaired driving, distracted driving, aggressive driving, and driving without a seatbelt.
