MHA Calls for Answers on Future of Michael Donovan Public Library

St. John’s West MHA Keith White is calling on the provincial government to provide a clear plan for the future of the Michael Donovan Public Library following another unsuccessful attempt to secure a new location.

In a social media post on October 27, White said he has written to the Ministers of Education and Transportation and Infrastructure to express concerns about continued delays and request a plan to restore library services to the community.

White says families, children, seniors and students have been without access to the important community resource for too long.

He added that he continues to hear from residents seeking answers about when the library will reopen and pledged to keep advocating for the facility until progress is made.
