RNC stop driver owing over $13,000 in fines

A 28-year-old man had his vehicle impounded after a traffic stop in St. John’s on Tuesday morning.

RNC officers conducted the stop around 8:55 a.m. on September 29 in the area of Frecker Drive.

Police issued the man summary offence tickets for driving without vehicle registration and insurance.

A records check found the man had more than $13,000 in outstanding fines.

The vehicle was subsequently impounded.
