RCMP investigating fatal ATV crash involving pedestrian in Ship Cove

The RCMP is investigating an off-road vehicle crash in Ship Cove that resulted in the death of a 70-year-old woman on Tuesday evening.

Police responded to a report of an all-terrain vehicle crash along the main road in Ship Cove. A pedestrian had been struck by the ATV and was rushed to hospital by emergency medical crews, where she later succumbed to her injuries.

The youth operator remained at the scene and cooperated with investigators. The ATV was seized, and the youth was not injured in the collision.
