Power warning remains in effect while some progress made at Bay d’Espoir Hydro Plant

Yesterday, some progress was made with ice removal at the Bay d’Espoir Hydro Plant.

As a result, several units have now been started, and some generation from the plant has resumed.

Units are being monitored closely and are being brought online gradually to ensure stability.

The Power Warning remains in place, and customers are asked to continue conserving power to support system stability, and should remain prepared for the possibility of outages.
