Man arrested following assault in CBS

On Wednesday morning, the RNC responded to a residence in the west end of St. John’s regarding a report of an assault.

The complainant alleged she had been assaulted by an ex-partner.

The 50-year-old male suspect was located at his residence in CBS.

He now faces charges of impaired operation, impaired over 80, assault, sexual assault and unlawfully in a dwelling.

The accused was held to appear in Provincial Court this morning.
