The Public Utilities Board has announced several changes to maximum fuel prices across Newfoundland and Labrador, with most fuels seeing an increase this week.

Gasoline is up as much as 3.5 cents per litre, while diesel on the island portion of the province rose by 2.3 cents. In Labrador’s Zones 13 and 13a, diesel increased by 2.9 cents per litre.

Heating fuels are also on the rise. Furnace oil on the island climbed 1.92 cents per litre, and stove oil in Zones 13 and 13a went up 2.53 cents.

Propane heating fuel is the only exception, dropping 0.6 cents per litre.

The adjustments took effect Friday, as part of the board’s regular weekly price setting.
