Newfoundland and Labrador Health Services says the Community Walk-in Clinic and Newcomer Health Clinic in St. John’s will temporarily relocate to Mount Pearl beginning June 1.
The clinics will move from 50 Mundy Pond Rd. to 850 Topsail Rd., where they will operate in the future site of the Urgent Care Centre (west).
According to NL Health Services, the relocation is needed to allow for renovations at the Mundy Pond Road location.
The Community Walk-in Clinic will maintain its current hours of operation, running Monday to Friday from 8 a.m. to 8 p.m. and Saturdays from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m.
Patients can continue to check clinic availability by calling 709-777-0800 or texting 1-877-709-2005.
Meanwhile, patients with appointments at the Newcomer Health Clinic will be contacted directly and reminded about the location change. The clinic can still be reached by phone at 709-752-4174 or by text at 1-877-709-4011.
NL Health Services said the Newcomer Health Clinic is expected to return to 50 Mundy Pond Rd. once renovations are complete.
Signage will be posted at both sites to notify patients of the relocation.
The health authority also noted there will be free parking available at 850 Topsail Rd., and public transit information is available through Metrobus.
NL Health Services said details regarding the opening date for the Urgent Care Centre (west) at the Topsail Road location will be announced at a later date.
The St. John’s West/Mount Pearl Family Care Team, which also operates from 850 Topsail Rd., will continue operating as usual with no changes to services.
