Downtown Pedestrian Mall to return this year

The St. John's Downtown Pedestrian Mall will be returning this year.

The Downtown Pedestrian Mall is proposed to open from Thursday, June 30 to Monday, September 5.

The proposed event and road closure area is on Water Street (Adelaide Street to Prescott Street) and George Street (Adelaide Street to Water Street).

Duckworth Street is not included in the road closures. This decision was made based on feedback collected during the event and engagement process last year.

The plans for the 2022 Downtown Pedestrian Mall will be presented during an upcoming City Council meeting on Monday, April 4. Details regarding entertainment during the event will be released at a later date.
