RCMP warning of poor driving conditions in Clarenville area

The RCMP in Clarenville is advising the public that heavy snowfall amounts have resulted in extremely poor road conditions along the Trans-Canada Highway throughout the region.

Emergency crews are responding to reports of a commercial transport truck that has slid off the highway outside Clarenville near Thorburn Lake.

Motorists can expect delays in the area. The highway remains passable.

People are asked to delay any non-essential travel. If you must travel, please exercise caution and patience and take your time.
