Cost of stamp increases

It now costs more to send a letter in Canada.

Canada Post has increased the cost of stamps to 99 cents. For stamps purchased in a booklet, coil or pane, which represent most stamp sales, the rate increases by seven cents.

The price of a single domestic stamp increases to $1.15, up from $1.07.

Before these changes came into effect, domestic letter mail rates increased twice over the last decade.
