Clarenville RCMP responding to a tractor trailer blocking a westbound lane of the TCH

Clarenville RCMP is currently responding to a tractor trailer blocking a westbound lane of the Trans-Canada Highway, approximately one kilometre west of Clarenville.

While the TCH is passable, motorists should expect delays and are asked to drive with extreme caution and patience in the area.

RCMP detachments and Traffic Services officers across the island are reporting hazardous and deteriorating road conditions and limited visibility due to snow. Increasing winds are also impacting travel conditions.

Police are asking motorists to consider delaying any immediate travel. If you must travel, exercise caution and patience and drive according to road and weather conditions.
