Burnt buildings coming down in Carbonear

Work is underway to remove two buildings in Carbonear that were destroyed by a fire back in April of last year.

The buildings were engulfed in flames back in April. It took fire crews from Carbonear, Victoria, and Salmon Cove to knock down the blaze.

Since then the buildings and adjacent sidewalks have been barred off and the buildings have become an eyesore in the downtown area.

Water Street is currently undergoing a revitalization project.
