At least one person was sent to hospital on Thursday after crashing their car on St Thomas Line in the town of Paradise.

Just after 2:20 p.m. on Thursday emergency services responded to the area of Saint Thomas Line and Paradise Road in the town of Paradise for a single vehicle crash.

When first responders arrived a single vehicle had departed the roadway landing on its side in a nearby tree. Firefighters with the St. John’s Regional Fire Department (SJRFD) and Paramedics worked to stabilize the occupant of the vehicle. The person was then carried up an embankment to a nearby waiting ambulance and was transported to hospital.

It is unknown how many people were in the car at the time of the collision. Or what caused the collision. The Royal Newfoundland Constabulary’s Traffic Services team attended the scene along with the Forensics Identification Section.
