Applications are now open for the Evacuation Business Stipend to support eligible businesses.

The stipend provides a one-time contribution of financial support to eligible small and medium-sized businesses in the Conception Bay North area that were impacted by the Evacuation Order.

This includes Small Point-Broad Cove-Blackhead-Adam's Cove, Kingston, Western Bay, Perry’s Cove, Ochre Pit Cove, Salmon Cove, Burnt Point, Gull Island, and Northern Bay.

Financial support under the program will be structured based on the business’s number of employees. For businesses with up to nine employees, $1,500 will be provided, and for businesses with 10 to 99 employees, $2,500 is available.

Businesses are eligible if they are physically located within the Conception Bay North Evacuation Order area, have fewer than 100 employees and can demonstrate they operate a physical commercial location within the Conception Bay North Evacuation Order area.

Businesses will be required to provide their CRA business number. Sole proprietors that do not have a CRA number will be required to provide the most recent Statement of Business Activities or other verifiable business documentation acceptable to the Department of Industry, Energy and Technology.

Successful applicants must be in good standing with Companies and Deeds Online, if applicable, WorkplaceNL, if applicable, and the Office of the High Sheriff.

Not-for-profit organizations are not eligible under this program.

Eligible applicants will be notified by email if they are approved to receive this support, and assistance will be provided as soon as possible. The application period for this emergency assistance will close on December 5, 2025.
