A nice day ahead for most, but a rainy weekend is ahead

A mix of sun and cloud is expected today across Newfoundland, there is however the risk of a passing shower for the Avalon and southwest coast. Temperatures today will range from 17 to 20.

The Big Land will be mostly overcast today with a few peeks of sunshine. There is a chance of showers in western Labrador. Highs will reach between 7 and 21.

There is a special weather statement issued for the Avalon Peninsula, including St. John's.

Significant rainfall is possible from Saturday afternoon until Sunday afternoon. There is the potential for 40 to 70 mm.
