Stormy weather for parts of the province

Across Newfoundland today, it will be unsettled in many areas. On the Avalon Peninsula, we will see 5 to 10 mm of rain and winds gusting to 80. Marystown will see rain changing to snow over higher terrain and then back to rain. Rainfall amounts of 10 mm are expected, and higher terrain will see about 5 cm of snow. Winds will gust to 60 in central areas of Newfoundland. Highs from 3 to 6 are expected.

It will be mostly sunny across Labrador today, with high temperatures ranging from 0 to 3.
