At least one person taken to Hospital following Collision in east end St. John’s on Tuesday
One person was taken to hospital in the east end of St. John’s on Tuesday following a two-vehicle collision. Firefighters with the St. John’s Regional Fire Department were called to the intersection of Portugal Cove Road and Major’s Path for a two-vehicle collision. Snow and rain for parts of the province today
Along the west coast, rain is expected with snow over higher terrain, with 5 cm possible on the Northern Peninsula and 10 cm for the Corner Brook area. Winds will gust to 70 km/h. Fuel prices increase again on May 13
It's another day of fuel increases across the board. Gasoline motor fuel increased by up to 2.9 cents per litre. Diesel on the Island increased by up to 2.7 cents, and diesel in western Labrador increased by 2.5 cents. Furnace oil heating fuel on the Island is up by 2.31 cents, and stove oil heating fuel in western Labrador went up by 2.14 cents. The Board’s next price adjustment is on Thursday, May 14.

Ongoing police investigation on Salmonier Line
There is an ongoing police investigation on Route 90 (Salmonier Line), approximately one kilometre south of the Trans-Canada Highway. There are delays as a result. At this time, there is no risk to public safety. Drivers are asked to exercise caution and patience, and to obey all instructions from police and first responders.
