New Interim CEO announced for The Rooms

Minister of Tourism, Culture, Arts and Recreation Andrea Barbour announced that Lisa Browne has been appointed CEO of The Rooms on an interim basis.

Browne is a senior executive with more than 25 years of leadership experience across the public and community sectors.

The search for the next CEO is currently ongoing through the Independent Appointments Commission.

Browne is an executive leader with experience in the health, community and post-secondary sectors within Newfoundland and Labrador. Her most recent leadership roles have been as CEO of Stella’s Circle and a vice-president with Memorial University.

The Rooms is Newfoundland and Labrador’s largest public cultural space and contains the province’s most extensive collection of artifacts, art and historical records.
