

Fuels prices increase again today
The cost of gas is up by 4.7 cents per litre today. Diesel on the Island increased by up to 5.6 cents, while diesel in western Labrador increased by 3.0 cents per litre. Furnace oil heating fuel on the Island increased by 4.81 cents, and stove oil heating fuel in western Labrador increased by 1.88 cents. The next distribution of maximum prices will be on Friday.

Smoke causing poor visibility in the Walsh River area
The RNC is advising that due to the smoke in the area of Walsh River outside Labrador City, visibility is poor on the highway. Motorists using Route 500 are asked to drive with caution, reduce speeds and avoid this area if possible. Smoke is present across many areas of Labrador this morning.
