Two arrested after assault on George Street
Just before midnight last night, the RNC were called to a disturbance at an establishment on George Street in St. John's. Police discovered that two patrons were causing issues, and when staff members tried to intervene, an altercation ensued. One staff member had injuries that required medical attention. Two men were arrested. A 29-year-old male was charged with assault with a weapon and assault causing bodily harm. A 24-year-old male was charged with assault with a weapon.

Rain will end this morning across eastern and central areas before picking up later this afternoon as yet another low moves through. Most fuel prices increase overnight
The Public Utilities Board has set maximum prices for petroleum products in all areas of the province except where maximum price adjustments have been suspended. Gas barely moved, going up 0.1 cents per litre. Diesel went up by 3.7 cents on the Island and 3.6 cents in western Labrador.
