Impaired driver arrested near St. John's International Airport

Just before 11:00 p.m. on Monday, the RNC responded to the area of the St John’s International Airport to a report of an impaired driver.

Police located the vehicle with a lone female driver inside.

Officers had suspicion of impaired driving and provided the approved screening device demand to the driver; the driver failed the test.

Officers arrested the driver for impaired driving. After further investigation, the 26-year-old driver was charged with refusal and impaired operation.

She was released for a future court date.
