Youth charged after fire-related incident at St. John’s school

A youth is facing charges after an alleged assault involving fire at a local school in St. John’s late Wednesday morning.

RNC officers responded to the school around 11:50 a.m. following reports of an assault with a weapon. Investigators determined that one student had attempted to burn another with fire.

Following the investigation, police charged a youth with assault with a weapon.

The individual has been released on a Police Undertaking and is subject to specific conditions.
