Youth arrested for uttering threats, possession of a weapon at a school in St John's on Friday

On Friday, shortly after 12:30 p.m. Officers with the Royal Newfoundland Constabulary (RNC) responded to a school in St. John’s. While officers were responding, information was received by school staff who advised that a student had threatened another student.
Officers arrived on scene and conducted an investigation, and following this investigation, a arrest was had on a 14-year-old male for uttering threats and possession of a weapon for a dangerous purpose.
The male will appear in court at a later date.
