Wrong way driver arrested for Impairment by metro police

On August 14th at 11:10 pm.

Members of the Operational Patrol Services (OPS) responded to a call of an impaired driver that was reported to be heading east in the west bound lane on Pitts Memorial Drive, St. John’s. The vehicle was stopped by police in the downtown area.

The 65 year old driver was subsequently

charged with impaired operation and over 80.

He was released to appear in court at a later date. His vehicle was impounded.
