A 29-year-old woman is facing multiple charges after fleeing from police during an attempted traffic stop in Conception Bay South on Saturday evening.

According to the RNC, officers attempted to pull over a vehicle at approximately 8:20 p.m. The driver failed to stop, prompting police to call off the pursuit for safety reasons.

Investigators were able to identify the female driver, and she was located several hours later. She was taken into custody without further incident.

The woman has been charged with flight from police, dangerous operation of a motor vehicle, and multiple breaches of court orders. She remains in custody and is scheduled to appear before a judge.
