Woman Charged After Downtown Assault in St. John’s

A 33-year-old woman was arrested following an assault in downtown St. John's late Sunday night.

According to police, members of Operational Patrol Services responded to reports of a woman assaulting a man at approximately 9:50 p.m. on May 18.

When officers arrived on scene, the woman was arrested and charged with assault, assaulting a police officer and breach of probation.

Police said the accused was taken to the St. John’s City Lockup and was scheduled to appear in court Monday morning.
