Woman Charged After Collision With House in Corner Brook
Corner Brook RNC charged a woman after a complaint of structural damage to a dwelling unit in the Westside area of Corner Brook on Sunday.
The dwelling had been unoccupied overnight and when representatives of the home returned this afternoon the damage was observed.
RNC Forensic Identification Section attended the scene and was able to identify the suspect vehicle type based on debris left at the scene.
At approximately 2:00 p.m. RNC received a tip from the public of a vehicle severely damaged and located in the Humbermouth area of the city. Police attended that area and located the suspect vehicle. The driver of the vehicle, a 38-year-old resident of Corner Brook, was located.
As a result of the investigation, she was charged under the Highway Traffic Act with Failure to Notify Owner of Property Damaged and Driver of Vehicle Failing to Make a Police Report. There were no injuries during the incident.
Both the dwelling and vehicle sustained extensive damages.
