Woman assaults officer on foot patrol in downtown St. John's

Just before 3:00 a.m. this morning, RNC officers were on foot patrol in the downtown area of St. John’s when one of the members was assaulted by an intoxicated female.

The 21-year-old female was immediately arrested for assaulting a peace officer.

The officer who was assaulted was not injured as a result of the incident, and the female was held to appear in Provincial Court in the morning.
