Woman arrested in St. John’s traffic stop owing $30K in fines

A 27-year-old woman has been arrested following a traffic stop in St. John’s on Sunday night.
The RNC stopped a vehicle on Logy Bay Road at approximately 9:10 p.m. on April 19.
Police identified the driver and determined she had an outstanding arrest warrant and approximately $30,000 in unpaid fines. Officers also found the woman was subject to a court order prohibiting her from driving.
She was arrested on the warrant and faces additional charges for breaching court conditions. The woman was held in custody to appear in court the following morning.
