Woman arrested following drug seizure in Deer Lake

The RCMP has arrested 31-year-old Stephanie Lodge of Deer Lake after searching a residence on Sunday morning.

JFO West and RCMP West District General Investigative Section arrested Lodge following the seizure of drugs, cash and items consistent with drug trafficking.

The search was part of an ongoing investigation, and resulted in the seizure of a quantity of cocaine, currency, pills and paraphernalia consistent with drug trafficking activity.

She was charged with possession for the purpose of trafficking cocaine.

She was later released from custody and will appear in provincial court in March.
