Woman Arrested After Weapons-Related Incident in St. John’s

RNC officers responded to a distress call regarding an unknown disturbance at a residence in the west end of St. John’s early Tuesday morning.


Upon arrival at approximately 8:18 a.m., police arrested a 36-year-old woman at the scene. She has been charged with assault with a weapon, possession of a weapon for a dangerous purpose, and uttering threats.


The suspect was transported to city lockup and was scheduled to appear in Provincial Court later in the day. Authorities have not released further details regarding the incident.
