Woman arrested after violent incident in Corner Brook

Just before midnight, the RNC responded to a disturbance at the rear of Whalen’s Gate in Corner Brook. The caller had reported that a woman had assaulted another woman.

After the alleged assault had occurred, the accused chased after the alleged victim who took refuge in the passenger side of a parked car.

The accused then approached the car and allegedly smashed the passenger side window out of the car with her fist.

Prior to police arrival, the accused fled the area in another vehicle.

A short time later RNC located the vehicle on Curling Street and arrested the accused without incident.

She has been charged with assault and property damage and has a court date in September.
