Woman arrested after stabbing in Happy Valley-Goose Bay

RCMP have charged 38-year-old Joyce Haye after a stabbing that happened at a Happy Valley-Goose Bay residence Wednesday afternoon.

Haye remains in custody and was held for a court appearance today.

The accused is charged with aggravated assault, assault with a weapon, and possession of a weapon for a dangerous purpose.

A man remains in critical but stable condition and has been transported to St. John’s for further medical attention.

Police received the report at approximately 12:20 p.m. on Wednesday and attended the Lethbridge Street residence.

Residents can expect to see an increased police presence in the area.
