Woman arrested after shovel attack in Mount Pearl

A woman is in custody after attacking a motorist with a shovel in Mount Pearl.

The RNC was called to a report of unknown trouble around 11:30 last night on a roadway in Mount Pearl.

A vehicle operator advised police that while parked on the side of the roadway they had been approached and attacked by a female carrying a shovel.

Police searched the area and located the female in question. The 25-year-old was taken into custody without incident.

She was charged with Assault with a Weapon, Mischief and Breach of Release Order and was held to appear in court.
