Woman arrested after hiding stolen meat in pants at Costco

Police say a shoplifting attempt at a St. John’s Costco didn’t quite make the checkout line.

At about 4:27 p.m. on Jan. 24, 2026, the RNC responded to a reported theft in progress at the Costco on Danny Drive.

Store staff had detained a 20-year-old woman who was allegedly attempting to leave the store with meat concealed in her pants.

Following an investigation, the woman was charged with theft and breach of court orders. She was held in custody to appear in court the following morning.
